Sarah M. Almond

Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Sarah Almond got her start as a scenic painter by interning with Spoleto Festival USA painting with Colleen Balance and Heather Humphery. She decided to pursue her BFA in Scenic Painting and studied with Howard Jones at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Sarah’s personal work has a strong focus on portraits, and has ranged from print making to oil paint. Her favorite subjects have often been musicians and friends that inspire her.  Sarah’s love of art started when she was very young and taught herself to draw by attempting to copy pictures of people from magazines.  She will be displaying two paintings in an exhibit at the Charlie James Gallery in Los Angeles, CA this September.

Sarah currently resides in Los Angeles.
